The Anti-Corruption Fund has launched a new three-year project, supported by the America for Bulgaria Foundation
The Anti-Corruption Fund (ACF) has launched a new three-year project focusing on revealing and fighting corruption entitled “Streamlining Anticorruption Efforts through Increasing Public Impact of Investigations and Involving Community.”
The project will build on the ACF’s efforts, which in the last three years have led to anti-corruption investigations such as “The Apartmentgate,” “The KTB case files: The Missing Names,” “War on Carcasses” and others.
The project aims to strengthen citizens’ engagement and increase citizen pressure on state anti-corruption institutions for a proactive investigation of corruption cases.
In the new three-year period, ACF will focus its efforts in several key areas:
– conducting investigations of cases of high-level corruption and conflicts of interest;
– developing ACF’s capacity for independent analysis of corruption cases in the country contributing to an effective fight against corruption;
– supporting independent journalistic investigations of cases of corruption;
– creating short videos engaging and mobilizing citizens in support of crucial investigations of cases of corruption;
– developing a community of anti-corruption civil activists, independent media, and investigative journalists.
One of the first ACF investigations under the new project was “The Eight Dwarfs” video series focusing on the criminal capture of a private enterprise by well-connected individuals. https://acf.bg/en/osemte-dzhudzheta-novo-razsledvane-2/
