Denitsa Rukanova

Denitsa Rukanova, attorney-at-law, holds a Master of Laws Degree and a Master’s Degree in International Relations from Sofia University „St. Kliment Ohridski”. She is a member of the Sofia Bar Association with 10 years of legal experience.

Ms. Rukanova’s professional interests are in the areas of public procurement, the access to public information, civil, administrative, penal and commercial law, property law, labour law, and human rights law. She was previously a member of a team combatting trans-border drug traffic at Sofia Airport Customs, as well as a legal consultant for Deloitte Bulgaria and Telerik JSC. Ms. Rukanova has twice been awarded a scholarship by Bulgarian Lawyers for Human Rights, giving her the opportunity to research the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights.
