Nikolay Staykov
Nikolay Staykov has a degree in business administration and is an experienced business journalist and editor. From 1997 to 2007 he was part of the Capital Weekly team, where he worked as journalist, editor, and deputy editor-in-chief. Staykov has written more than 500 articles on economic policy, the privatization of state-owned assets, and public procurement. He specializes in economic analyses, investigations, and business rankings and is an expert in obtaining and analyzing information from public databases.
Staykov is co-founder and speaker for noresharski.com – a media platform, created and managed by volunteers, active in the civil protests in Bulgaria in 2013 – 2014. In his capacity of anti-corruption activist, Staykov has attended a number of international seminars and forums, dedicated to countering corruption. His positions have been published in a number of foreign and national media outlets, including The New York Times, The Economist, Financial Times, Reuters, ARTE TV, Deutsche Welle, and many others.
He is the recipient of many journalism awards and a regional winner in the
European Satellite Navigation Competition by the European Space Agency.
