Bulgarians fear that the EU can no longer solve the problems with corruption

The authoritative Dutch daily NRC published an article on the problems of the rule of law in Bulgaria. It quoted Nikolay Staykov of the Anti-Corruption Fund: “The experiment of admitting a country to the EU that does not have an independent judiciary has failed. The prosecution has not been reformed in any way since Bulgaria joined the European Union.”
