Analysis of electoral fraud in Bulgaria’s October 2022 parliamentary elections

The project focuses on the analysis of electoral fraud in Bulgaria’s October 2022 parliamentary elections. It aims to measure the scope and manifestations of controlled and bought votes. Through statistical analysis of official election results, the study seeks to identify polling stations with unusual behaviour.

In addition, the analysis will examine issues of preferential voting bias as well as electoral tourism. The methodology is based on previous research conducted by the Anti-Corruption Fund, and the authors of the analysis are Maria Karayotova, PhD in criminology, and political scientist Mario Rusinov. The “risky” polling stations were identified based on indicators such as high turnout and abrupt changes in voting patterns.

Please describe all facts and data (names, addresses, dates, amounts, e-mails). Attach copies and/or originals of documents if you have any. Please be patient – our thorough approach takes time. We do not handle cases that concern solely private interests.
