ACF and Co-Founder Nikolay Staykov Part Ways

After many years of collaboration, it is time for the Anti-Corruption Fund Foundation (ACF) and Nikolay Staykov to part ways.

Nikolay Staykov is a co-founder of ACF and a person with an outstanding contribution to the organisation. From the first days of ACF’s inception, he invested his energy, experience and bravery in the effort to establish the organisation as a strong and independent voice against corruption.

Nikolay was instrumental in some of our most popular investigations which shed light onto the ties between public authority, economic interests and behind-the-scenes influences. This includes the investigations The Eight Dwarfs; List of Quick Control; ProsecutionLeaks, which discloses the network for illegitimate influence within the judicial system; Mr. Grass Head’s Holding Company, which tells the story of the de facto cartel of businessman Hristo Kovachki; The KTB Files: The Missing Names, revealing the financial and political dependencies surrounding the bankruptcy of the Corporate Commercial Bank; ApartmentGate, which shed light on the questionable purchases of luxury properties by politicians and public officials.

ACF is grateful to Nikolay for all that he has done for the organisation. We wish him success and inspiration in his next career steps.
