Nikolay Staykov for FACT: The Magnitsky Act does not operate on Bulgarian soil

Nikolay Staykov, ACF: “During the Oresharski government there was a super-priority project called South Stream and there was work at the speed of light. In the CCB case, there are quite interesting and obviously important things about the South Stream project that have been overlooked by the prosecutors overseeing the case, including the current Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev. There is evidence in the case that Vladimir Putin’s man visited the CCB in connection with the energy project.
The first part of the KTB case here
Perhaps only the other stream, under Borissov (his so-called “Balkan Stream”, actually “Turkish Stream”), was a bigger priority and we saw bigger actions.
We still haven’t found out what the financial motivation was, who allocated the participation, the consortia, how the prices swelled, what the exact breakdown was and who the beneficiaries of these infrastructure projects are.
There is a dark part that has been closed, which so far only raises doubts.
