Lora Georgieva from ACF talks about the illegal construction still present on the Smokinya Beach before the Bulgarian National Radio – Burgas

The construction is permanently installed on the beach by means of a monolithic substructure, made of reinforced concrete. This facility cannot be lifted without compromising its integrity, which is why it cannot be considered a movable unit. Moreover, the construction exceeds the prescribed surface limit for a movable unit, as it stretches over 1 decare of the beach territory. The National Construction Control Directorate claims that the Mayor of the Sozopol Municipality is the competent authority to issue an order to remove the illegal construction, as the latter falls in categories IV and V within the meaning of the law. The mayor, who issued the construction permit for a movable unit, had the obligation to verify whether the facility installed on the beach was indeed a movable unit or a permanent construction. This obligation was not fulfilled. Listen to the entire interview on the following link: https://bit.ly/3oXIcsh
