The project aims to facilitate citizens’ awareness and control over how EU-funded projects are implemented in their region. Technical and administrative barriers often prevent more people from giving adequate and timely feedback on the quality and design of projects in the places where they live.
EuroMoney.bg will be an interactive portal that offers a comprehensive overview of all projects implemented with EU funds in each region of Bulgaria. It will provide a convenient and easy-to-use application for tips, comments and photos. In this way, EuroMoney.bg will not only allow for a clearer and more direct assessment of EU-funded projects but will also act as a whistleblowing platform for corrupt practices with EU money.
Citizens will be able to leave feedback and impressions on the implementation of projects, as well as alerts on perceived abuse and corruption. The app will also have an operational mobile functionality to make it accessible and convenient for any citizen to use at any time and thus enhance the widest possible citizen engagement.
The aim of the project is to allow more citizens to participate in the monitoring and evaluation of EU funding and its effects.
The EuroMoney.bg project is being implemented with the financial support of €24 560 under the Support for Citizen Engagement in the implementation of the cohesion policy action of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Regional and Rural Policy.
