Nikolay Stoyanov

Nikolay Stoyanov is an investigative and financial journalist at the Capital newspaper. He started working there in 2006 as a stock exchange reporter and later covered the banking and pension sectors. He is currently the newspaper’s financial section editor. Among his most significant publications are the series of materials about the bankrupt Corporate Commercial Bank in 2014, which began in 2009, and those on large loans granted by the state-owned Bulgarian Development Bank in 2015-2021. His investigations into cryptocurrency OneCoin fraud from 2015 are often quoted in the international press. He graduated in International Economic Relations at the University of National and World Economy.
