Kristian Yulzari

Investigative Journalist

n 2021, Kristian Yulzari published his first investigation, examining corruption in the allocation of state budget funds for addiction prevention programs targeting young people.

Since then, he has worked as a freelance journalist, contributing to the fact-checking platform Factcheck.bg and the regional investigative journalism website Za Istinata (For the Truth). His work has also appeared in Deutsche Welle, Free Europe, Dnevnik, and other media.

In early 2025, he joined the team of the Anti-Corruption Fund. His professional interests focus on anti-corruption, public finance, and disinformation. He is a recipient of the Valya Krushkina – Journalism for the People Award, the Web Report Award, and the Red Line Award of the Anti-Corruption Fund.

Kristian Yulzari is pursuing a degree in Political Science at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski.” He also completed a one-month journalism specialization program at Arizona State University in the United States as part of the U.S. Department of State’s Study of U.S. Institutes (SUSI) program.
