On December 9, International Anti-Corruption Day, the Anti-Corruption Fund (ACF) will present its first Red Line Awards: Journalism Against Corruption Awards.
Until December 5, journalists from print, electronic and online media can be nominated or self-nominated for the award.
The awards honor courageous journalists and investigations that have shed light on corruption cases or contributed to the establishment of the principles of the rule of law in Bulgaria.
There are three categories in the competition:
- Award for a journalistic investigation revealing corruption or conflict of interest – a Grand Prize (BGN 1,000 and full legal support for the next investigation by the ACF team) and a Special Prize (BGN 800 and full legal support for the next investigation by the team of ACF);
- Award for promoting the principles of the rule of law – BGN 600;
- Award for a young journalist under 35 working on topics related to the fight against corruption and the rule of law – BGN 500.

Nominations should be backed with journalistic materials published in the last year (from December 5, 2019, to December 4, 2020).

A jury of respected journalists, legal experts, and civil society activists will evaluate the nominations received.
The ceremony for announcing the Red Line Award winners will be on December 9, 2020, the International Anti-Corruption Day.
