BNR: Lora Georgieva from the Anti-Corruption Fund: KPKONPI executes political orders

The Specialized Parliamentary Committee for Combating Corruption, Conflict of Interest, and Parliamentary Ethics heard the two candidates for chairman of the Commission for Combating Corruption and Confiscation of Illegally Acquired Property (KPKONPI). These are the current Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov and Volia MP Simeon Naydenov. “We would like to hear how KPKONPI will develop and what activity it will carry out under the leadership of the former Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov,” Lora Georgieva of the Anti-Corruption Fund told BNR. According to her, the election is predetermined, and the chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission will be Tsatsarov: “It was clear from the hearing itself that the second candidate was there to have a second candidate.”
