Andrey Yankulov to Fakti: The work of the Anti-Corruption Commission is shrouded in secrecy
What is the work of the Anti-Corruption Commission? Can anyone tell? Almost all of their work is protected by law and defined as secret. And this is done by the head of the Anti-Corruption Commission. And so everything of the work of this state institution can be classified. Even the officials themselves are required to keep the information they have acquired in their work secret.
There has to be transparency about what the commission does. The investigative structure of State Agency for National Security has been transferred to the Anti-Corruption Commission. Still, no one knows how many corruption crimes have been uncovered in the higher echelons of power. We do not know about how many cases a person has been investigated or what has been discovered.
This was announced by attorney Andrey Yankulov from the Anti-Corruption Fund to Lili Marinkova in the FACTI studio and the program “Conversation.”
