The office of the Chief Prosecutor has declined to forward to the Russian Prosecution Office the signal on corruption activity of two Russian officials, submitted by the ACF. This happens regardless of the cooperation agreement between the two institutions signed during the visit of the Russian Prosecutor General in Sofia in September 2017. This raises doubts on the real content of the agreement between the two Prosecution Offices, although it was publicly announced to include joint measures to fight corruption, organized crime and terrorism.

Meanwhile, the office of the Chief Prosecutor informs that the signal has been submitted to the Sofia City Prosecution Office for further investigation of the claimed corruption activity.
